May 8 was another tremendous day celebrating Erik and all he means to us. The weather was perfect, and Kenwood welcoming. We congratulate our low scorers and our closest to the pin and longest drive winners and thank Sam and Ed for letting us celebrate Erik through The Klassic.

Your generosity gives an Eye Street education to so many deserving young men. For that – and for your celebration of Erik – we say THANK YOU.

We are already planning The 2024 Klassic so stay tuned. In the meantime, thanks again, have a safe summer in those Birkenstocks, and as always –

Remembering Erik

The Dawn of the Klassic

Erik was a man for others who was loved by his family and friends. His 1990 Gonzaga classmates had a simple notion: establish a fun, lasting way to celebrate Erik’s life and grow his memorial scholarship fund at Gonzaga. In the summer of 2007, The Klassic was born.

After months of preparation and hard work by family, friends, donors, sponsors and volunteers, an organizational committee launched the inaugural Klassic on May 9, 2008.

We haven’t looked back. We will continue to celebrate Erik in May 2022 at the 15th annual Klassic and hope you can join us. While golf is the order of the day, we want you to join us for a day of fun.
